Add an undo button for if you choose the wrong trump color or want to change trump color, before the nest is laid down.
3 votesIt’s not obvious, but you can do this. After declaring the trump color, you can touch the trump color in the corner and it will let you change trump. Once you have discarded, it can’t be changed anymore.

Request Redeal
We have a rule in our version of Rook that you have the option of requesting a Redeal if you were not dealt any point cards. When this occurs the cards are redealt by the previous dealer, counterclockwise at the table. We call this "Backing Up The Deal." Would it be possible to consider adding an optional "Request Redeal" type of step in the configuration Settings?
Other people call this declaring a misdeal.
117 votesA new version of Blackbird was just released that supports misdeals! By default, the official rules are set to request a misdeal when there are no point cards. The Western Wyoming rules are set to request a misdeal when there are no cards above a 9. In your custom rule sets, you can choose between no point cards, no cards above 9, or no cards above 10.

Last trick worth 20 pts.
Raise the stakes a little more by making the last trick worth 20 points. In how I like to play this game it makes each round worth 200.

Allow changing the points to win (currently 300)
When my friends and family play rook, we play to 500. 300 makes for a quick game, but a couple of bad hands and it's over. It would be nice to change the scoring settings. Thanks!
3 votesYou can already do this! You just need to create your own rule set. Go to Settings, Active rule set, New rule set…
The last setting on the screen when creating your own rule set is the points to win. Enjoy!

Option to make the Blackbird worth 10.5
The version I play ranks the blackbird card at 10.5, so that it beats a 10 but is beaten by an 11. This makes things a little more interesting and requires more strategy in capturing the blackbird.

Add Bluetooth option in multiplayer
1 voteYou can actually already play via Bluetooth! When you tap invite, there is a button for nearby. When you tap the nearby button, it searches via Bluetooth or via your local router for other people that have the game open. The other players must have Bluetooth enabled and have the game open, but they do not have to be your Game Center friends and you don’t need an internet connection for this to work.

Turn off the Blackbird card
When we play, we remove the "rook" card and only bid to 100. This means we only put 4 cards into the nest. Is there any chance you could allow the option to play without the blackbird card? Thanks.

Partner play points when bidder is fishing
You need to make the partner understand when to put on points to set when the bidder is fishing

Blackbird card
The blackbird card should be the most powerful card in the deck, no other card should be able to capture it
1 voteThe Official Rules play with the Blackbird as the highest card and no others can capture it. The Western Wyoming rules play with the Blackbird as the lowest card.
If neither of those rule sets work for you, you should take a look at creating your own rule set. To do this, go to Settings, Active Rule Set, Manage, then +. Among other things, you can decide which cards to include and whether or not the Blackbird is the highest trump card.

Allow winning bidder to play something besides trump
Why is it that if you cant follow suit you have to play trump? It takes away the advantage of dealing yourself out of a suit, you have to waste trump on tricks with no counters. This is the first place i have seen that rule and its not boding well. At least make it an option

The rule forcing you to play trump is only in effect in the Western Wyoming rule set.
Even so, you can create your own rule set that doesn’t require this! Just go to Settings, Active Rule Set, Manage, then +. All of the options that you mentioned are already available with the exception of making Aces worth 20 points. If you want to submit a new idea with just the aces being worth 20 points, I would welcome that.
Like you, many users are not seeing this option. Because of this, it will be more visible in the next update. Let me know if you have questions or issues with this!

Allow more game options
Rook is a game played many different ways, your game allows for two of those. Which would be great of from those two games you could also choose other options. For example, allowing counters to go in the nest, allowing for rook to be high or low, or making aces worth 20 and not giving twenty points for amount of tricks... I like the idea of being able to play rook on my phone but if you could enable it to be played more ways it would be a huge improvement

You can actually do this already. The official rules do not require you to play trump when you don’t have the suit that was led. The Western Wyoming rules do require it.
If you don’t like either of those rule sets, you can create your own. Just go to Settings, Active Rule Set, Manage, then +.

The bird needs to be played like a trump
The bird should only be played like a trump it should not be able to be played on any set of cards you should have to play a card in the color that dealt before you play the bird
1 voteThe official rules are the only rules that allow the Blackbird to be played anytime. In the settings, you can change the rules set or create your own.
The other rule set (Western Wyoming) that is shipped with the game does not allow the Blackbird to be played anytime. If you don’t like the Western Wyoming rules, you can create your own rule set by going to Settings → Active Rule Set → Manage → +
When you are creating your own rule set, you have the option of specifying whether or not to allow it to be played anytime or not.

Can you please have the option to select the card and when we lift our finger off, being able to select it without swiping the card. Great app! Thanks.
